Morges is a gorgeous city in Switzerland, near Lausanne, blessed with an excellent position right on Lake Geneva, overlooking the Alps.

The Parc de l’Indépendance in Morges is a beautiful park where is held each year from early April to mid-May, The Tulip Festival (Fête de la Tulipe). Somehow resembles the famous Keukenhof in the Netherlands, just that it is on a smaller scale.

More than 300 varieties of tulips, Daffodils and hyacinths are planted behind the Morges Castle. Being a shady park, it allows the tulips to have different blooming times, enjoying more of their beauty all those who visit this wonderful park. Apart from the beautiful tulips and chestnut trees, the panorama over the fantastic Geneva lake and the Alps is splendid.
