As a tourist you can arrive in Barcelona through the three airports: Barcelona-El Prat Airport is the main airport of the city and is located 12 km from the Centre of Barcelona being the second largest of the Spain after Madrid - Aeropuerto de Barajas.
From Barcelona El Prat airport you can reach the city centre by public transport, either by bus or by train. Convenient and fairly inexpensive the aerobus goes from 10 to 10 minutes from the airport to Plaça de Catalunya approximately in 25 minutes, for a cost of about 5.5 Euros per person.
Girona-Barcelona is located 13 km from downtown. You can reach the centre with aerobus in 35 minutes for a cost about 6 Euros.
Barcelona-Reus is located approximately 7 km from the city of Tarragona and 90 km from Barcelona. You can reach Barcelona by shuttle. A single ticket is 15 Euros and return is 30 Euros.
Accommodation in high season is quite expensive so it's good to make reservation in time. Average prices vary between 60 and 120 Euro/night for a large selection of 3 and 4 star hotels.
Good to know: In general it is crowded and it's recommended that you buy the ticket in advance either online or from La Caixa Bank's counters.Picasso Museum contains most of Picasso's creations. Ticket price is around 11 Euros.

From there you can buy tickets for FC Barcelona matches.Barcelona card offers free transport, free entrance to some museums, free admission to 23 different attractions and discounts at many museums, shops and restaurants. The card can be purchased for a period of 2 to 5 days with prices between 35 and 60 Euros. Good to know: you can get additional discounts if you buy online and also you have included a city and metro map. Local currency is Euro Shopping period starts in the first week of July until the end of August and the winter sales begin in the second week of January until the end of February.
