Santa Catalina Island is on the U.S. coast , 35 km south- west of Los Angeles , California and measures approximately 35 km in length and 13 km in width .

Main cities are Avalon and Two Harbors . The island is reached by ferry , special routes being available in several cities in Southern California and the road takes about an hour .

Among the tourist attractions are: restaurants, shops, coach tours along the island to watch the breathtaking landscapes , flora and fauna of the island ( buffalo , deer, boar , bald eagles and foxes ), Avalon city tour,  Botanical Garden , Wrigley Memorial , fishing, scuba diving , snorkeling , jet ski, boat tour , or a walk on the sea with the amazing glass bottom boat .

In Avalon you can do also snorkeling , scuba diving, kayaking , Para sailing , climbing on board , flying fox and island tours by bus or on foot through the many hiking trails Island - Orizana ( 639 m altitude ). Avalon is a very chic city clean , with beautiful landscapes and everything you need for a successful holiday ! Avalon is a calm bay where you will find the famous pre-war ballroom, round as a fortress, where the big bands played together once.

The area is famous for the many shoals of fish and the famous bright orange fish called ‘’Garibaldi’’, common in local waters . Nature is well preserved and human activities are integrated , which makes car use being restricted .

Avalon can do snorkeling , scuba diving, kayaking , para sailing , climbing on board , flying fox and island tours by bus or on foot through the many hiking trails Island - Orizana ( 639 m altitude .
