A step towards... Budapest

Among the most beautiful things in life is travelling. Above the desire to travel is the desire to explore new horizons. Budapest is the Place where you can be in two different worlds, separated by the same sweet smooth river - the Danube.

First time I visited Budapest, my steps were drawn on wide streets with shops and all kinds of restaurants, bakeries, where the smell of fresh bread drew my senses. It's impossible not to be stunned by the sumptuous parks and gardens located in the heart of Budapest.

I visited the Royal Palace, Matthias Basilica, Chain Bridge, one of the 9 bridges crossing the Danube, National Art Gallery, Castle Hill and last but not least the two islands: Margit and Obudai. I was completely fascinated by Varosligety Park, whose botanical gardens, lake, landscape, historic buildings and more make you remember why you live on this earth.

I chose to travel by plane with Wizz Air, with less than 100 Euro per person, round trip. It's a piece of cake, if you think how cheap the price in comparison with the beauty retrieved in Budapest.

Transportation is quite easy. You can take Kőbánya-Kispestmetro from the terminal, take the M3 metro passengers CAN Towards ÚjpestKözpontto reach the city centre. You can change to metro lines M1 and M2 at the DeákFerenctér stop in the inner city. For more information click here: http://www.budapesthotels.com/touristguide/bkv.asp  there are tickets on 1 or 3 days for tourists. Day ticket is 1550 HUF (€ 5) and 3-day ticket is 3500 HUF (approx. 11 Euros).

Related to the hotel I chose 4 stars, Hotel City Inn, (http://www.cityinn.hu/ ) and I was very pleased. For 2 nights, double room, breakfast included, I paid about 100 Euros. Good price, great condition, sociable personal and tasty breakfast.

Restaurants have menus displayed on the outside and the prices are moderate. Hungarian cuisine is spicy but not excessively.

Shopping is on the agenda. Central Market Hall (Nagy Vasarcsarnok) is supplied daily with fresh fruits and vegetables. WestEnd City Centre is a huge shopping mall, where if you don’t get lost you will notice the big brands of fashion and accessories. Prices on clothes are quite high, but worth a visit for sure!

If you combine romance and sophistication certainly have to make a leap into a captivating city. Budapest.

Visit Royal Palce

I visited the Royal Palace( BUDA CASTLE) - palace of the Hungarian kings, Matthias CHURCH- constructed in the florid late Gothic style in the second half of the 14th century, Chain Bridge, one of the 9 bridges crossing the Danube, National Art Gallery, Castle Hill and last but not least the two islands: Margit and Obudai. I was completely fascinated by Varosligety Park, whose botanical gardens, lake, landscape, historic buildings and more, make you remember why you live on this earth.
